In Illinois, a Right to Work bill will be introduced in the Illinois House of Representatives tomorrow (5/14).  We need you to let your representatives know that right to work laws affect all workers not just those who belong to unions.  They need to understand right to work laws drives down wages and benefits for all workers.

In partnership with the Illinois AFL-CIO and Chicago Federation of Labor we are working to defeat this anti-worker agenda.  We are asking IBEW 21 members and retirees to please call their representatives and ask them to vote no on right to work (for less) in Illinois.

Below is the hotline number and script for the Right to Work vote that you can use when calling your representative.

Hotline script – Right to Work

Hello, my name is ______________ and I live in your district. I am calling today to urge you to vote against Gov. Rauner’s right to work zones. Right to work drives down wages and benefits for all workers. Rauner’s proposal will make it harder for people like me to make ends meet. Please vote no on Rauner’s right to work zones proposal Thursday. Thank you.

If you have any questions please call

Bob Przybylinski or Dennis McCafferty in our Union Hall 630-960-4466.
