The AT&T Annual Benefit Enrollment Period is Here!

The Open Enrollment period for 2017 benefits for AT&T Active Employees started on Monday, October 10th at 7 a.m. and will continue through Friday, October 21st at 7 p.m. Central time.

Contributions for Active Full-Time Employees

Keep in mind that monthly contributions for medical are changing for 2017 and that you can elect to have them deducted from your pay on a pre-tax basis. For details on what your monthly contributions will be see the Benefits Article 16 Attachment A of your contract beginning on page 45.  View the AT&T contract here.

Don’t forget to enroll in a Health Care FSA or Dependent Care FSA if needed. This is the only time of the year in which you can enroll in a flexible spending account.  You can contribute up to $2,500 to a heath care Flexible Spending Account (FSA), but remember that any funds not used for expenses incurred within the plan year are forfeited.

If you are contributing to an FSA and plan on reimbursing your monthly contributions from your FSA funds, then you want to elect your contributions to be deducted on an after-tax basis.

There is a CarePlus Contribution Holiday beginning on January 1st, 2017 that will run through the entire 2017 plan year until further notice. If you are currently enrolled in CarePlus you will not pay anything for 2017. If you are not enrolled in CarePlus this is a great time to enroll and not pay anything for the first year or beyond.

We encourage everyone to review your elections even if you are not making changes. Your available options can change from year to year. If you are enrolled in a non-bargained plan the provisions of your plan can change even if the plan name stays the same. Don’t assume you will have the same plan, confirm that you will.
