January 4, 2017
We hope you enjoyed your holidays. As we start 2017, we continue our commitment to assist those in need in the communities where we live and work.
My Joyful Heart in Mokena is one of the organizations that receives items our members donate during our IBEW 21 Days of Giving drives. We are one of their “Partners in Hope.”
They work on a shoestring budget and are hoping IBEW 21 members can help them at their warehouse on Saturday, January 21st at 9:00 a.m. We will be moving boxes of donations and installing new doorbells for them. My Joyful Heart is located at 9981 W. 190th Street Suite I.
If you are able to join us please contact IBEW Local 21 Recording Secretary Bob Przybylinski by email (firstname.lastname@example.org), or call/text him at 708-404-0417. We are looking for 6 – 10 volunteers to help them complete the project in one day.
If you didn’t know My Joyful Heart assists children who are disadvantaged. Some of the kids are in special education, some have families that cannot afford life's basic necessities, many are from single-parent or grandparent-led households, and some are homeless.
Let’s do what we can to help these kids who live in the neighborhoods where we live and work. Contact Bob P. ASAP if you can join us.
If you can’t make it you can still help by donating to help their kids by clicking here.
