6/14/12- Negotiations with Altura Begin
Print Icon Updated On: Jun 14, 2012

June 14, 2012- Thanks to all of our Altura members who completed the bargaining survey.  Bob Kniefel, Jeff Stewart, and Business Representative Terry Sheehan met on May 17th to review the surveys and begin working on the Union’s contract proposals.

Negotiations with Altura management began last week.  Your union bargaining committee discussed Articles 3,4,16 and 25 with the company and we are miles apart.  There have been no talks over healthcare or wages.  Bargaining will resume on Tuesday July 10th at the IBEW Local Union 21 office in Downers Grove, Illinois.

One thing is obvious your bargaining team will need your support.  They need you to turn up the heat by letting your managers know you want a fair contract.  Solidarity!
