Altura Members Reject Contract
Print Icon Updated On: Aug 23, 2012

IBEW Local 21 members across the United States have voted to reject Alutra management’s last best and final offer.  The IBEW Local 21 bargaining team received the proposal on July 31, 2012 and our members reviewed the proposal which included language that would allow Altura management the right to have non-union Altura personnel complete work that is exclusively performed by current bargaining unit members, even after a layoff.  The inclusion of this language in the contract could lead to future job losses.  Altura management was informed their employees overwhelmingly rejected the last best and final offer they proposed.
